Welcome

Welcome to the web site of the Sparta Ambulance Squad! We hope you enjoy exploring our site and learning who we are and what we do.

Here’s the latest news from our Facebook page:

We felt it was a good time to post this picture as there was a Triathlon in town today.

Pictured is Don Earl, a former Sparta Township Police Chief, running alongside Sparta Ambulance Squad’s 1969 Superior Cadillac Ambulance. This Ambulance was in service from October 1974 until November 1976.

Thanks to Tracey Earl McNamara for the photo! We love to see what our vehicles used to looks like.

Sparta Ambulance Squad participated in a planned evacuation drill of Knoll View this morning. The Drill was the culmination of a number of pre-planning sessions to test the readiness of all potential agencies involved with an evacuation of the main facility. The specific scenario was a simulated kitchen fire requiring evacuation of 27 residents.

In addition to our squad, the Sparta Fire Department, Sparta Police Department and Dispatch Center, the Sparta CERT group, Sussex County Sheriff's OEM, and the Ogdensburg Volunteer First Aid Squad all participated in the drill.

All of our Sparta Ambulance Squad emergency vehicles were staffed and utilized thanks to a great turnout from our membership!

We would also like to thank the Knoll team for their cooperation and excellent planning! Everyone worked together to make it a very successful event!

Life of EMS. Tried to have breakfast with my sister Sunday. First place lost power, second place closed and we finally sit down at the Lake House when tones go off.

The Sparta Women's Club has added a lot of distribution dates for Vials of Life. Please see the picture for details about the program and for the newly added dates.

The Vial of Life program "provides vital medical information to assist emergency personnel in administering proper medical treatment." Please help the Sparta Ambulance Squad by picking up your kit and following all of the directions. It will save us valuable time in an emergency situation and may even save your life!
